How Keynote began

Kristen Georgis is the owner of Keynote Event Planning. She has planned and coordinated events for over 12 years. 

Kristen became involved in event planning through her family and friends. They needed help planning and executing their weddings, and she was there to offer her services. Later, the company she worked for put her in charge of planning all their parties and events. From there, Kristen was hired specifically for her planning skills as the executive event planner for a financial firm, which she was happily a part of for five years.

Until…her son was born. Kristen decided to stay home then realized that there was a way to continue to do the planning jobs she loved, while still getting to spend time with her toddler. Thus, Keynote Event Planning was created. 

Kristen has experience with start-to-finish planning, day-of coordination, and vendor referrals. She has a long list of businesses she works with in the Chicagoland area and is an expert at keeping expenses within budget. 

She values simple—yet elegant and quality—yet affordable. Events run more smoothly with her friendly, professional personality. 

She’s so grateful for the opportunity to work with clients and she credits her business success to her supportive and loving husband and to her parents and siblings who always believed in her. 

When she’s not planning, you’ll find Kristen spending time with her family, listening to true crimes podcasts, or cooking up a new recipe in the kitchen.
